The Impact of NOMOS on U.S. Collegiate Volleyball

2024

As the new academic year begins, it’s inspiring to witness the strong representation of international student-athletes supported by NOMOS, who are embarking on their collegiate volleyball journeys in the United States. This year, an impressive 117 international athletes are set to compete in Women’s Volleyball, underscoring the crucial role NOMOS plays in helping young talents pursue both their passion for the sport and their academic ambitions.

NOMOS has not only facilitated the recruitment and placement of these athletes, but has also been instrumental in securing scholarships that make their dreams a reality. With a grand total of $64,491,059 in scholarships awarded, and $10,977,015 for the current year alone, this achievement is a testament to the organization's unwavering dedication to the success of these young women. This financial support not only alleviates the burden of tuition, but also empowers the athletes to focus on excelling in both their studies and on the volleyball court.

As the volleyball championship kicks off at the end of August, there is a palpable excitement and anticipation for what this season will bring. These international athletes, hailing from diverse backgrounds, bring a unique blend of skill, determination, and cultural richness to their respective teams. Their journey is a testament to the power of sports in bridging gaps, fostering global connections, and driving personal growth.

We are incredibly proud of our NOMOS girls and the strides they are making both on and off the court. Their hard work, perseverance, and commitment are truly commendable, and we are confident that this season will be filled with achievements worth celebrating. As we cheer them on throughout the season, let us also acknowledge the tremendous support system behind them—coaches, families, and the NOMOS organization—that continues to nurture and guide these athletes toward success.
