Greek Easter… in Hawaii and Indiana! Chakas and Mandilaris in the All-Tournament Team!
MIVA and Big West Championships for Mandilaris's Ball State and Mouchlias-Chakas’ University of Hawaii! After an amazing season, the Greeks’ hard work paid off and was rewarded with the conquest of the championship and the ticket for the NCAA Championship! In addition to the trophy, Mandilaris and Chakas reserved their spot in the All-MIVA and All-Big West Tournament Team respectively, after their strong appearances in the tournament!

And the Big West Champion's award goes… to the undefeated Hawaiian duo! The Rainbow Warriors (24-5) completed the Big West Championship by eliminating their opponents in the semifinals and finals and are now preparing for the NCAA Championship! More specifically, in the semifinal against UC Santa Barbara on 22/4, Mouchlias being the top scorer scored 15 kills, 1 assist, 1 ace, 4 block assists and 8 digs, while Chakas scored 11 kills, 2 aces, 2 solo blocks, 3 block assists and 2 digs. The next day, in the big final against Long Beach State, with a 3-0 victory, they were crowned champions ! Mouchlias had 16 kills, 1 assist, 1 ace, 1 block solo, 4 block assists and 2 digs and Chakas had 16 kills, 2 aces, 1 block and 4 digs.

The Cardinals claim the MIVA Tournament Champions title for the first time in 20 years! After being regular season Champions, the Cardinals (23-3) were crowned MIVA tournament champions with 3-0 sweeps in the quarterfinal, semifinal and final! Regarding the stats of the outside from Chalkida, in the semifinal against Lewis he scored 6 kills, 2 aces, 4 block assists and 3 digs while in the final against Purdue Fort Wayne, he had 14 kills, 3 block assists and 7 digs. In national rankings, Mandilaris is 7th in kills per set and 4th in points per set.
