Nikolaos Ziogas

Nikolaos Ziogas was born in Athens. He studied Physical Education, specialized in Volleyball, at the renowned Russian State University SCOLIPE at Moscow and he also holds a PhD from the same university. His dissertation was titled: “Physical Rehabilitation of Volleyball Athletes using Hygienic Rehabilitation”. 

Nikolaos has had rich experience in coaching volleyball, both male and female. He initiated his coaching career in 2000, with U16 and U18 club teams, and reached all the way to Greek division 1 for women and division 2 for men. He has been honored to serve as a federal regional coach of the U16 and U18 Greek National team for the prefectures of Crete and Thessaloniki. 

Moreover, Nikolaos, in his capacity as a PhD, has extended experience in teaching the sport of volleyball. He has taught physical education at the Greek Police Academy, he has been a special teaching fellow of Physical Education at the Technical University of Crete, and since 2017 he has been teaching the volleyball course at the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. 

Nikolaos is the General Secretary of the Hellenic Committee for University Sport Education, established by the Greek Ministry of Education, and is also a member of the Sport Supervising Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

He speaks professional English and Russian.
