Marina Markaki

Marina Markaki has been a member of the NOMOS family since 2018. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Computational Mathematics, from New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she was a student-athlete after earning a full athletic scholarship back in 2018. Due to a knee injury, she competed only for one academic year where she started in 27 out of 32 matches and finished 2nd in total blocks. Even though her athletic career came to an end, she was still part of the team, after accepting the position of the student manager her coaches offered. A year later, she also accepted the position of the official statistician of NJIT’s men’s volleyball team.

The young native from Keratsini, Greece, graduated with a major in Math and a minor in Psychology, named to the dean’s list for 7 consecutive semesters, served as a manager for 3 years and as a statistician for 1,5. She is involved with NOMOS student-athletes covering our social media, while getting her Master’s Degree in Business Analytics in Southern Utah University and serving as the Graduate Assistant Coach in the women’s volleyball team.
