Rebecca Duttlinger

Rebecca Duttlinger, a senior at Saint Louis University (SLU), is pursuing a degree in Sports Business with a minor in Leadership & Change Management. Rebecca studied at SLU-Madrid during the spring of 2019. Rebecca is originally from the western suburbs of Chicago, IL, where she fell in love with softball at a young age and has played and/or managed softball ever since.

Rebecca has been actively involved in many clubs and activities since she began her time at SLU three years ago. As a freshman, she was Secretary of the Sports Business Association (SBA) and a member of their executive board. She was elected President of SBA her junior and senior years and under her leadership, SBA has grown their footprint on campus by increasing members’ involvement through meetings, networking opportunities, and leadership panels. Rebecca is also the current Vice President of Membership for SLU’s professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. In this co-ed fraternity, Rebecca continues to sharpen her leadership and professional skills. Prior to her Vice President position, she held the title of Pledge Educator and was responsible for teaching a weekly class to new pledges. In addition, Rebecca is a pitcher on the SLU Club Softball team, where she has also held the titles of Treasurer and Secretary of the Club. Rebecca has also spent time working with the Dean’s Student Advisory Board at SLU.

Some noteworthy events that Rebecca has taken a part of during her time at SLU include organizing and presenting a panel featuring the front office of the Saint Louis Battlehawks XFL team, volunteering at the Men’s SEC Basketball tournament, and working the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend event. Each event gave Rebecca a chance to build her leadership, consulting, organization, and time-management skills and exposed her to intricacies of sports management. She also loves to donate her time through volunteering at ALS fundraising walks, charity dance marathons, and Campus Kitchen.

As a Nomos teammember, Rebecca sharpens her data analysis and database management skills while also growing her ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure. In the future, Rebecca hopes to learn more about the international business side of sports management and agency.

After Rebecca graduates from SLU in 2021, she plans to further her education by pursuing a graduate degree while she begins her career in the sports management industry.
