Greek community in Green Bay!
Zoe Sherolli will team up with fellow Greek Iro Chounta at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay this upcoming season.
A strong roster is aiming to improve the 13-3 record of last season but also retaining the top spot in the Horizon League conference, which was a great achievement for the team last season.
After signing Iro Chounta, the University of Green Bay also signed the 19-year-old Outside Hitter Sherolli, and the roster is now complete for the upcoming season.
The 6ft athlete graduated from the Moraitis high school where she won the Greek-Cypriot high schools national championship, followed by two medals in the Pan-Hellenic Championships, a silver medal at U19, a bronze at U17, and Zoe also had a fourth place in U16.
‘’The best choice’’
Sherolli on Green Bay: "I cannot describe in words how happy and excited I am about being a part of the Phoenix family. I think Green Bay is the best choice for me to grow not only as a player and a student but also as a person. The coaches and the girls on the team have really helped me with getting as close to them as possible and making me feel comfortable even though I am miles away. I cannot wait to start my journey with the whole team by my side for the next few years."
Coach Sutherland on Sherolli: "Zoi is dedicated, organized, and serious about her academic and athletic career. She definitely did her homework on Green Bay; I enjoyed the recruitment process with her because she asked the difficult and important questions. She is brave in a lot of ways, and I can't wait to see that shine through on the court."
