Eleni Kafantari / PREFACE

Find below a synopsis of Eleni Kafantari’s coaching and basketball philosophy and achievements the past twenty plus years. 

This summary represents all of my years in the profession. Each year I have added, updated and reviewed my program in anticipation of being a member of the coaching stuff in a club with aspirations in high level tournaments such as Eurocup and Euroleague.

All my contact as a Head Coach, 1st Assistant Coach and Trainer with various age groups is listed. I hold experience in the highest level of FIBA ​​tournaments. Currently I am the Head Coach in the Danish U18 Women's National Team & SISU Women's Basketball Team in the 1st Danish League. Further I have past experience as Assistant Coach at the Greek Women's National Team (4th place in Eurobasket, 9th in World Cup Finals) and Head Coach of the U20 (2nd place in 2nd Division- promoted to 1st Division) & U18 Greek Women's National Team.

This summary also displays my organizational skills, work ethic and my sincere commitment to making my athletes winners. To improve every day both as players and as individuals.

More importantly than knowing the game of basketball, I know the profession of coaching and how a club can reach its goals every season. I enjoy working with clubs that have high expectations and I look forward to playing a leadership role on the club’s performance and in the local community.

Experience has prepared me well for the task of cultivating a supportive team atmosphere, I am committed to promoting a team environment of respect, attentiveness, participation, and discipline while helping players become winners, learn valuable lessons and skills—both personally and physically.  

The team is the focal point of the program and will always be the reason behind all decisions. From the time that a player enters our club, the goal is to help them achieve and maintain their peak performance for the team to be able to compete in high level.
